Who we are

This website is operated by Blackletter Companies LLC, a New York limited liability company. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "Blackletter", they mean that company.

We are not a law firm

Blackletter provides business operations, growth, finance and technology services to law firms. We do not practice law, we do not provide legal advice, and nothing on this website is legal advice. Reading this site or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not create a client relationship with Blackletter either. That only happens under a signed written agreement.

What is on the site

We describe our services in general terms. Figures, timelines, illustrations and product images on this site are illustrative and may use demonstration data. They are not a promise of any particular result. We may change the site, our services or these terms at any time.

Our material

The Blackletter name, the ampersand lockup, our copy, design and software are our property or that of our licensors. You may read and share this site. You may not copy it, reproduce our branding, or use anything here to build a competing offering without our written permission.

Liability and governing law

This site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, and we are not responsible for the content of any site we link to. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in New York County.

02 PRIVACY POLICY

What you give us

If you contact us through this site or by email, we receive what you send: your name, your firm, your email address, the size of your firm and your message. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Nothing more.

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use anything you send us to train an AI model.

Client confidentiality

Please do not send us confidential client information or privileged material through this website. If we work together, client information is handled under our engagement agreement and the confidentiality obligations in it, with access limited to the people doing the work.

Service providers

We use ordinary business tools to host this site, send email and keep records. Those providers process information on our instructions and only to provide their service to us.

Your choices

Write to hello@blacklettercompanies.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop.
